This study is to investigate the effect of the meditation program, Younggamudo, and the research task is to show the effects of it on stress response and sub-factors. The research method is as follows. 30 adult males and females were selected for the study and the 15 people were assigned to the experimental group, and the other 15 to the control group. The experimental group performed 12 sessions for 1 hour and 30 minutes once a week and the control group received no treatment during the program. The stress response scale was performed once in advance and 2 times after 9 and 12 weeks. And this study was approved by Korea National Institute for Bioethics Policy of Institutional Review Board for the safety and protection of the subjects and has been observed its regulations. Data were analyzed using SPSS 18.0, for cross-validation, independent test t-test, one-way ANOVA, and repeated ANOVA. As a result of the study, the experimental group showed decrease in stress level throughout the stress response, but the control group showed no significant difference. In sub-factor, there was a significant difference in stress, aggression, somatization, anger, and fatigue in post-test 1, and tension, aggression, somatization, anger, fatigue and frustration in post-test 2, but control group did not show any significant difference in all factors.
